About Josie
I am a Psychology Teacher in Manchester with 6 years of experience teaching A level. My background in Psychology comes from my undergraduate degree from The University of Sheffield where I attained a 2.1. Following this I completed teacher training through University College London and later went on to teach college students. I am a lover of learning in this field and understand the demands of being a student as I am currently studying an MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I believe in responsive teaching and aim to grow my students' confidence through clear modelling and explicit instruction.

We will start with retrieval practice every session as this is the best way to be able to remember the extensive amount of material on the syllabus. Following this we will explore one of the key concepts in depth and then spend a good chunk of time applying this knowledge to the exam questions. This application time will involve lots of modelling, some scaffolded questions if needed and then some solo practice.

Perfect! Josie really helped me to progress in A Level Psychology. She’s was always very organised and punctual and used a range of strategies. She was a lovely tutor who I would recommend and helped me improve my knowledge of the subject
