About Ahmad

I am an IB 2024 graduate from Dubai, where I experienced the challenges and sleepless nights that come with the program. Now studying Computer Science at Simon Fraser University in Canada, I understand the struggles students face (and all the sleepless nights). My goal is to make learning Psychology easier and more enjoyable, helping students navigate their studies with confidence and success.

My Tutoring Approach
Teaching Methodology and Techniques
As an IB Psychology HL graduate, my tutoring approach centers on helping students thoroughly understand key concepts. I assign homework to encourage additional reading and comprehension, followed by extensive walkthroughs of questions. This method allows students to apply what they've learned and build confidence in their abilities (and be ready for IB Exams!!). I emphasize active engagement and critical thinking through interactive discussions and practical examples as soon as I am done with a topic so you can be ready to do any IB question on that topic.

Typical Lesson Plan
In a typical lesson, I start with a brief review of previous material to reinforce understanding. I then introduce new concepts and assign relevant reading for homework. During the next session, we review the reading, and I guide students through practice questions, ensuring they grasp the material fully. Each session concludes with a summary of key points and additional questions to solidify their understanding.

What Sets Me Apart
What sets me apart as a tutor is my experience studying in Dubai's highly competitive environment. This background has equipped me with valuable skills and strategies for excelling under pressure. I understand the demands of the IB program and can offer personalized guidance that resonates with students, fostering a comfortable learning atmosphere where they feel empowered to ask questions and express their thoughts.

Target Audience
My lessons are tailored for Year 12 and Year 13 (Grades 11 and 12) students enrolled in the IB Diploma program or those taking IB Psychology courses. Whether students are struggling with specific concepts or seeking to deepen their understanding, my tutoring is designed to support all learners in achieving their academic goals.
