About Harry
Hi, I’m Harry. I completed a First-Class BSc in Psychology followed by an MSc in Counselling Studies, and I’m based in Edinburgh.
My Master’s research focused on autoethnography, exploring fluidity in onto-epistemological perspectives within counselling practice. This involved working reflexively with lived experience, theory, and philosophical foundations of knowledge. Through this process, I developed a strong understanding of qualitative research design, ethical positioning, and how to construct nuanced academic arguments.
At undergraduate level, I completed a dissertation using focus groups and thematic analysis, which strengthened my grounding in both quantitative and qualitative methodology and research structure.
Alongside my studies, I have supported learners in educational settings and facilitated university group sessions. I am used to helping students clarify complex ideas, develop confidence in critical thinking, and refine written work to a higher academic standard.
I offer support with psychology modules, counselling theory, qualitative research, reflexive writing, and dissertation development. Sessions are calm and structured, with space to think through ideas properly rather than rushing toward surface-level answers.

Sessions are built around the specific piece of work you’re doing. Most of the time that means reading through your draft together and looking closely at structure, argument, and use of evidence.
We break the work down into sections and examine what each paragraph is doing. Is the claim clear? Is it supported properly? Does it connect to the wider argument? If something feels vague or overcomplicated, we rework it until it’s precise.
If you’re working on research, we focus on sharpening your research question, clarifying your methodology, and making sure your reasoning holds together. I tend to work slowly and deliberately rather than rushing through material.
Sessions are usually conversational but structured. You bring the material, and we work through it step by step.
