About Matt
My name is Matt. I am 22, studying a Masters in Biomedical Science. I am based in Cheshire but eager to get involved with tutoring online to reach a wider student audience.
I studied Psychology at A-Level, achieving a grade A, and carried out an Extended Project into a bio-psychological disorder of face recognition. I have particular interests in biopsychology, cognitive neuroscience, developmental, clinical and social psychology. I am confident with all areas within the GCSE and A-Level specifications and would love to support you with your studies of the human psyche.
I love gaming, watching TV shows, the outdoors and love to support other people with their learning. I’m a very caring, friendly and approachable person having mentored and supported students at my own university in various capacities and I also frequently volunteer as a Crisis Counsellor for the mental health support charity SHOUT.
My career goals are centred around becoming a qualified and registered Clinical Scientist in Clinical Biochemistry, as well as extending my role as a Crisis Counsellor through further psychological study.
I am really excited to hear from you!

I focus on developing personalised learning plans for each student to suit their individual needs and learning style.
My lessons last for around 60-75 minutes, with clear learning outcomes for focused teaching and I always try to make my lessons fun and interactive to help keep students engaged.
I have experience throughout my studies supporting undergraduate students, college and GCSE students with understanding challenging concepts and frequently assist in demonstrating laboratory techniques at my University.
With this being said, my tutoring would most suit those studying Psychology or Biology at GCSE, A-Level, T-Level, BTEC and into university level study.
Recommendations
Recommendations are written by the tutor's friends, family, and acquaintances.
I had Matt supporting me during my undergraduate programme in Biomedical Science. He was brilliant at explaining complex concepts to me and breaking things down into easy to understand pieces of information.
I highly recommend Matt as an exceptional biology tutor. Thanks to his thorough knowledge of the subject and his patient approach, I was able to significantly improve my understanding and achieve a high grade. He was always willing to take the time to explain complex concepts in ways that made them easier to grasp. Matt was not only knowledgeable but also empathetic and understanding of my needs, making every session a productive and positive experience. If you’re looking for a tutor who can help you succeed in biology while providing a supportive and encouraging learning environment, he is the perfect choice.
I have worked with Matt at our local hospital for some time now. Having observed him mentoring and training new staff I can confidently say that he will do everything in his power to ensure you progress. He is extremely caring and conscientious, eager to share his knowledge and massively supportive.
Matt is very friendly, approachable and knowledgeable. He has helped me improve my confidence and understanding in Biology, especially Biochemistry which I found very difficult during my undergraduate degree. He was very patient and took the time to know my learning style. Without Matt’s support, I’m certain that I would have achieved the final grade that I got.
His lessons are very fun and non pressured. It’s very evident he wants the best for everyone he supports. He takes time to ensure that I understand what it is he’s saying and when I don’t understand, his approach to making me understand comes across as very friendly, non-judgemental and encouraging.See more recommendations
