About Reid
I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and have 9 years of teaching experience working with students from beginner to advanced levels. My interest in programming began when I discovered how logical thinking can be used to create solutions, which later developed into a passion for teaching.
My teaching approach focuses on clarity, patience, and practical understanding. I explain coding concepts in simple steps so students can easily follow and apply them. I use examples, live coding, and guided exercises to support learning. I also adapt my teaching style based on each student’s pace and comfort level.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy working on coding projects and exploring new technologies. Teaching programming is very fulfilling because I see students grow in confidence and ability over time. Helping them build strong coding skills motivates me to continue teaching with dedication and care.

Programming becomes easier when students understand how logic works instead of simply copying code without clarity. My lessons focus on building strong foundations in programming languages such as Python and Java, along with basic algorithms and problem-solving techniques. I guide students step by step so they can understand how programs are created and how different components work together. I also include hands-on exercises and small projects that help learners apply their knowledge and gain confidence. Each session is interactive and supportive, allowing students to experiment and learn comfortably.
I design lessons based on each student’s level and goals to ensure steady and balanced progress. Beginners focus on basic concepts such as variables, loops, and conditions. Intermediate learners work on functions, debugging, and structured problem solving. Advanced students focus on algorithms, project development, and improving efficiency. Practice tasks, revision techniques, and regular feedback are included to strengthen understanding and support continuous improvement.
Programming lessons also help students develop logical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving ability. As they improve, they gain confidence in writing their own programs and solving challenges independently. Many learners find coding interesting once they understand its structure. My goal is to make programming simple, practical, and confidence-building.
