About Senna
I hold a PhD in Computer Science and have 12 years of teaching experience working with students at different levels of programming knowledge. My interest in coding began with curiosity about how software systems function and how logical thinking can be used to solve real-world problems. Over time, this interest developed into a strong passion for teaching and guiding students in their learning journey.
My teaching approach focuses on clarity, patience, and practical understanding. I break down complex programming concepts into smaller, manageable steps so students can follow them easily. I encourage hands-on practice and active participation, allowing learners to build confidence through experience rather than memorization. I also adapt my teaching style based on each student’s pace and comfort level to ensure effective learning.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy working on software projects and exploring new technologies. Teaching programming is deeply rewarding because I see students grow from beginners into confident problem solvers. Helping them develop useful skills and achieve their goals motivates me to continue teaching with dedication and enthusiasm.

Programming becomes much more approachable when students understand how logical thinking translates into working code rather than trying to memorize syntax without clarity. My lessons focus on building strong foundations in programming concepts such as variables, loops, functions, data structures, and algorithms through clear and detailed explanations. I guide students step by step, helping them understand how each line of code works and how different parts of a program interact with each other. I use simple examples and real-world scenarios to make concepts easier to visualize and apply. Each session is interactive and encourages students to experiment, ask questions, and learn from their mistakes in a safe and supportive environment.
I carefully structure my lessons based on the student’s level and learning goals. Beginners start with basic concepts such as simple programs, conditions, and loops using guided practice. Intermediate learners explore functions, arrays, and debugging techniques while working on structured coding problems. Advanced students focus on algorithms, optimization, and real-world project development with deeper understanding. Regular coding exercises, practice challenges, and feedback sessions are included to ensure continuous improvement and confidence building.
Programming also helps students develop logical thinking, creativity, and strong problem-solving skills. As they gain confidence, they begin to enjoy building their own programs and solving challenges independently. Many students feel a sense of achievement when they see their code working successfully. My goal is to make programming clear, engaging, and empowering so every learner feels confident in their abilities.
