About Ivy
My passion for programming began with a fascination for logic and the transformative power of code in solving real problems. This led me to pursue an M.Sc in Software Engineering, which deepened my understanding of algorithms, software systems, and project development. Over the past 12 years, I have taught students at various skill levels, helping them develop practical competence, conceptual clarity, and confidence in coding, while cultivating an appreciation for technology as a creative tool.
I prioritize patient, adaptive teaching that accommodates different learning styles, providing structured explanations, visual illustrations, and hands-on exercises. I create a learning environment where students feel encouraged to experiment, ask questions freely, and approach challenges with curiosity and persistence. My methodology emphasizes understanding over rote memorization and aims to cultivate independent, confident coders.
Outside of teaching, I continue to explore programming trends, engage in software projects, and study emerging technologies, keeping my lessons fresh, relevant, and practical. Teaching programming is immensely rewarding because I witness learners transform uncertainty into skill, creativity, and confidence, equipping them to navigate technological challenges both academically and professionally.
