About Naomi
My interest in programming began with curiosity about how sequences of logic could be translated into useful, working programs. I pursued a B.Sc in Computer Science and an M.Sc in Software Engineering to develop a solid foundation in both theory and practice. Over 8 years, I have worked with learners of diverse ages and backgrounds, helping them build strong coding skills, problem-solving abilities, and confidence in software development.
I use a student-focused approach combining hands-on exercises, clear explanations, guided projects, and iterative feedback. I encourage exploration, creativity, and independent thinking, emphasizing understanding of the principles behind code rather than rote memorization. My goal is to nurture both competence and confidence.
Outside the classroom, I engage in coding projects, software development initiatives, and ongoing study of emerging technologies to keep lessons relevant. Watching learners gain mastery, confidence, and the ability to independently tackle programming challenges is immensely rewarding. Supporting students in becoming capable, innovative, and confident programmers remains the central aim of my teaching practice.

Programming becomes exciting when students understand how abstract logic transforms into functional applications. My lessons cover Python, Java, data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and project-based learning. I combine step-by-step explanations, hands-on exercises, and real-world problem-solving tasks, providing learners with both skill and understanding. Students are encouraged to experiment, debug, and develop independent problem-solving strategies, cultivating creativity, persistence, and confidence in coding.
Lesson plans are tailored to each student’s level. Beginners explore variables, loops, conditions, and simple projects to understand basic logic and structure. Intermediate learners practice modular programming, algorithmic problem-solving, debugging, and small-scale software projects. Advanced learners focus on complex projects, optimization, APIs, and preparation for coding assessments or competitions. Each session blends teaching, guided exercises, iterative feedback, and independent problem-solving to build competence and confidence.
Programming education enhances logical thinking, structured problem-solving, and resilience. Students gain the ability to create solutions independently and apply reasoning to broader challenges. My goal is to help learners develop both technical expertise and intellectual confidence, empowering them to approach coding tasks and challenges creatively and successfully.
