About Drew
My journey in programming began with a strong interest in understanding how software systems are created and how logic drives applications. I completed a Master’s Degree in Software Engineering, where I developed advanced coding and problem-solving skills. Over the past 11 years, I have worked with students at different levels, helping them build confidence and strong technical understanding. Teaching allows me to simplify complex topics and guide learners effectively.
My teaching style is practical, flexible, and student-focused. I believe students learn best through consistent practice, so I include coding exercises in every lesson. I break down complex problems into smaller steps so they become easier to understand. I also create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them. This helps them improve steadily.
Outside teaching, I continue working on projects and learning new technologies to stay updated with industry trends. This helps me bring real-world relevance into my lessons. Teaching programming is meaningful to me because I see students grow from beginners to confident coders. Helping them build strong skills, improve their confidence, and prepare for future opportunities is something I truly value, and I remain committed to guiding them toward long-term success.

My programming lessons are designed to make coding simple, structured, and easy to understand for every student. I guide learners through concepts like variables, loops, conditions, functions, and basic data structures using clear explanations. I focus on helping students understand the logic behind the code instead of memorizing it. Each lesson includes hands-on exercises where students write, test, and improve their programs. This approach helps students learn actively and build confidence step by step.
Lessons are structured based on the student’s level and goals. Beginners start with basic syntax and simple programs to build understanding. Intermediate learners focus on structured coding, debugging, and small project development. Advanced students work on algorithms, optimization techniques, and building complete applications. I provide regular guidance, corrections, and practice tasks to support steady progress. This ensures that students develop strong coding skills over time.
Programming also helps students develop logical thinking, creativity, and patience. As they begin to build their own programs, they feel more confident and motivated. Many students enjoy solving problems and creating useful applications through coding. My goal is to make programming simple, engaging, and meaningful. I want students to become independent learners who can think clearly, solve problems efficiently, and apply their coding skills in real-world situations and future career paths.
