About Luis
I am a professional violinist and composer. I hold a Masters in violin and composition for screen from the Royal College of Music, London.
With over a dozen years of teaching experience, both privately and in schools, I have helped hundreds of students achieve their goals in music, many of whom have achieved distinction in their music exams. I have extensive orchestral experience and I write music for film and television.

Using a demanding but empathetic method, I prepare students for ABRSM exams or conservatoire auditions. I encourage my students to read scores and to understand how music works, as opposed to the memory-based approach of most music teachers.

Luis is such a great musician, and a really good teacher. I have been lucky to have great teachers throughout my life, and Luis is amongst the best ones. He not only explains complicated concepts in a clear and understandable way, but, while doing so, also radiates a love for music that is, at the very least, contagious. Besides being an excellent musician, Luis is committed, passionate, kind, and patient. I highly recommend him as a music teacher.
Luis est un excellent prof et musicien. J'ai étudié la composition et la theorie musicale avec lui pendant deux ans. Plus récemment, j'ai commencé aussi mes cours de violon avec lui. Il est très gentil, patient et peut facilement expliquer les choses le plus compliquées. Je recommend Luis à tous qui veulent apprender a faire de la musique en maniere détendu et sympa.
