About Chandimal
I'm Chandimal, a video producer, editor, and director with 9 years of professional experience across video production, podcast post-production, corporate and commercial content, motion graphics, and social media content.
I started my career at one of the world's leading PR agencies, working my way up from intern to running my own production team. I've worked on campaigns across the region, built a video department from the ground up, and represented my agency at Spikes Asia 2019, one of Asia's most prestigious creative festivals.
I hold an MA in 2D Animation & Stop Motion from Teesside University, UK, and a BA in Mass Communication. I'm based in Newton Aycliffe and teach both online and in person across the Darlington and Durham area.
I genuinely enjoy helping people learn, whether that's someone picking up editing for the first time or a working professional wanting to add motion graphics or podcast production to their skill set. I teach the way I learnt, by doing real projects, making real decisions, and building skills that actually transfer to professional work.

My lessons are practical and project based. we work on real content from day one rather than just theory. Whether you're a complete beginner or someone looking to level up specific skills, I tailor each session to where you are and where you want to get to.
I cover video editing in Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve, podcast production and post-production, short-form content for YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels, and motion graphics in After Effects. Lessons typically run 60 to 90 minutes depending on the topic and your pace.
I have 9 years of professional experience in video production, including corporate and commercial work, and I hold an MA in 2D Animation & Stop Motion from Teesside University. I've worked with beginners through to professionals looking to refine their workflow.
Lessons are available online or in person in the Newton Aycliffe, Darlington, and Durham area. All levels welcome.
