About Joseph
- What kind of experience do you have?
I am experienced in teaching students of all ages and abilities in varying styles of music from Classical to Jazz improvisation and Pop music.
I have performed in various venues both in and outside the UK. Personal highlights include sold out performances in the London Jazz Festival, and musical theatre performances in London's West End as well as international performances in Marseille and Abu Dhabi.
On top of performing with my own jazz quintet, you can also regularly see me performing around London with a wide variety of bands ranging from '20s dance music to pop, funk and ska.

I am a professional jazz trombonist based in north London. I have experience playing and teaching all brass instruments and have performed extensively in London, the UK and beyond in a wide variety of genres. Whether you're an absolute beginner, an experienced student, or looking to return to playing music after a break, I am happy to offer a musical experience tailored to your needs.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach all brass instruments to a grade eight and diploma standard. I also teach Jazz and improvisation to all levels from absolute beginner up to helping with music college auditions.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I am a graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
As well as achieving grade 8 certificates in both Trombone and Euphonium, I also have qualifications in piano, saxophone, flute and music theory.
- How much do you charge?
I charge £35 an hour, £25 for a half an hour lesson.
- Where do you teach?
I am based in Harringay but am happy to travel to most parts of London.
- When are you available?
I have a flexible schedule so please get in touch and we can find a time that suits both of us!
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach all levels from beginner to advanced to students of all ages.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
