About Joe
Hi, I’m a bass guitarist and music tutor with a strong classical and jazz background, offering personalised online lessons for students of all levels.
I completed my undergraduate studies as a scholar at the Royal College of Music on classical guitar, before earning my master’s degree in jazz bass at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
As a performer, I’ve played at many of London’s leading venues, including Ronnie Scott’s, Pizza Express Live Soho, the Royal Albert Hall and many more.
I’ve also performed in theatres across London’s West End, and I’m currently touring as part of the Legally Blonde UK Tour.

My 14 year old really likes his lessons with Joe and is doing classical and electric guitar (he now wants to do bass too!). Joe is warm, empathetic and very skilled as a teacher, especially with young people.
Joe is a fantastic teacher, he is very friendly and explains things clearly and methodically. His lessons are varied and interesting, making music feel very exciting! It’s rare to find a teacher that is so patient and encouraging. He is also a talented musician with a plethora of experience.
A highly skilled, knowledgeable, and personable individual.
Joe has a great passion for music and can play the bass like no other.
He is patient and considerate in his teaching and funny and kind to all.
I highly recommend Joe!See more recommendations
