About Maria
I am a certified Russian language instructor, having a master's degree in Philology (specialized in Russian as a foreign language), professional teacher with a decent experience working as a university teacher at the preparatory department for foreign students willing to study in Russia in mixed groups, and now working at a private Russian language school with learners from 16 to 90 from beginners to advanced. Worked with diplomats, participated as a teacher in American council programs, also have been teaching through Skype for more than 5 years. Some of my students now live and work in Russia or communicate with Russian colleagues.

I base my classes on a communicative approach, our purpose is to speak, so even grammar we study through conversation. Humor is a good help when learning a language. If your aim is to pass an official test we prepare for all the aspects. I use shared documents, send all materials you need for our classes and of course extra materials, if you need anything. I give tips on how to make your progress faster, and can recommend videos, music, etc. If you have a special request like writing business letters, or let's say learning some technical vocabulary, just let me know and we will adjust our classes to your goal.
