About Olivia
I am a passionate piano tutor with 12 years of teaching experience, working with students from school to college level. My love for music and education has guided my entire journey. I believe that every student has the ability to learn and succeed with the right guidance and encouragement.
Throughout my career, I have helped students improve their technical skills, reading ability, and performance confidence. A major milestone in my career was mentoring students who progressed from simple exercises to performing complete songs confidently on stage.
I focus on step-by-step teaching, ensuring students understand each concept clearly before moving forward. I also encourage creativity and emotional expression in music. My classes are friendly, structured, and motivating. My goal is to inspire students to enjoy music while building confidence and discipline.

My approach to teaching piano focuses on balanced musical development through Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity. I design personalized lesson plans that combine technical drills, theoretical understanding, and performance preparation. Motivation keeps students focused and positive, so I celebrate progress and encourage them during challenging pieces.
Communication is detailed yet simple, ensuring clarity in tempo control, articulation, dynamics, scale techniques, and chord progressions. I provide hands-on guidance and repeat lessons when necessary to strengthen foundations. Integrity guides my professionalism, dedication, and honest progress monitoring.
Creativity is encouraged through improvisation exercises, playing by ear, exploring harmonies, and experimenting with expressive interpretation. Along with piano, I also teach music theory, rhythm development, harmony basics, and keyboard techniques to ensure well-rounded musical education.
