About Ben
I am a professional software engineer, with over 10 years of experience programming in a number of different languages.
I hold a B.Sc (Hons) first class in Computer Science, and I have been tutoring computer science and programming for over 2 years. My experience includes tutoring from KS3 to undergraduate level, most recently helping undergraduates achieve their best in coursework assignments.

I believe that students best pick-up coding skills and theory through practical application, I've previously tutored to both groups and individuals, and based on my experience believe that programming is best taught on a one-to-one basis to allow progression at the learner's own rate.
I'm able to provide either structured lessons: to learn about and apply a particular principle in computer science, or to develop programming skills - or many GCSE, A level and undergraduate students find it beneficial to book a session for a particular problem or assignment they're struggling with.
If you're concerned that you're missing out on learning during lockdown, or you want to best position yourself for when teaching and examinations resume, then one-to-one tutoring sessions may be perfect for you.

Ben is an all round great tutor! He was very patient with me, and took the time to go over things I didn't understand, and adapted his teaching style to my needs.
