About Emily

I am a passionate fashion designer and educator with a specialism in sustainable design. I believe in helping students achieve their goals whilst also nurturing their individuality in a very oversaturated fashion landscape. It's very important to me to deliver accessible and empathetic teaching that equips students with confidence in preparation for challenging courses and industry experiences.

About the lesson

With five years of teaching experience at Kingston University, I am a confident fashion tutor who specialises in Foundation level students and the bridge between secondary education and entering degree level courses at institutions such as Central Saint Martins, London College of Fashion and Westminster University. I currently hold a Senior Lecturer position and run the Fashion & Fabrication Pathway. I am very experienced in sending students to these courses by tailoring briefs and projects to help bring out the voice and personality of each individual and developing conceptual approaches to fashion, whilst also equipping them with the necessary skills to showcase and helping them curate bespoke portfolios for each of the courses they apply to. I can curate a bespoke plan to help achieve your ambitions, from simple portfolio consultation to a full curriculum of briefs to help develop your skills. Lessons can be tailored to suit the individual, from online one-hour sessions to in-person half-day sessions at my South London studio. My Qualifications/Experience: - BA Fashion Design- Westminster University - Art, Design & Media Foundation Diploma - Kingston University - Experience working at luxury fashion companies including brands under the LVMH umbrella - Fellowship of Higher Education - Senior Lecturer & Fashion & Fabrication Pathway Lead - I also run my own brand 1800 Gallons and work as a freelance pattern cutter and designer in the fashion industry
