About Daniel

I love TV and film. I always have. What started as a passion became a career, and over the past decade I’ve been fortunate enough to work with the BBC, Channel 4 and UKTV, and in writers' rooms on projects for Apple TV+, Amazon, CBS and Paramount, including productions with A24.

But breaking into the industry wasn’t easy for me. I know what it feels like to have the ambition to become a professional writer without knowing exactly how to get there, and that experience is a big part of why I love teaching and supporting other writers.

Alongside my professional writing career, I’ve delivered screenwriting workshops for BBC Writers and taught aspiring writers at different stages of their development. I genuinely enjoy demystifying screenwriting, breaking down the craft and sharing the practical knowledge I wish I’d had when I was starting out.

My approach is friendly, encouraging and honest. Whether you want to write your first screenplay, develop a television pilot, improve an existing script or understand more about breaking into the industry, I want to help you become a stronger writer and move closer to your goals.

About the lesson

Learn screenwriting with a working professional TV writer with over a decade of experience across the UK and US industry.

I’ve written and developed television for the BBC, Channel 4 and UKTV, and worked in writers' rooms on projects for Apple TV+, Amazon, CBS and Paramount, including productions with A24. I bring that real-world industry experience directly into my teaching.

My lessons are practical, supportive and tailored to you. We can work on developing ideas, character, structure, dialogue, scene writing, TV pilots, treatments, pitching and rewriting, or focus on improving a script you’re already working on.

I’ve also delivered screenwriting workshops for BBC Writers. Rather than simply teaching theory, I’ll share the techniques and processes used by professional writers and help you develop your own voice, strengthen your storytelling and take your scripts to the next level.

Sessions are typically 60 minutes and are suitable for beginners, emerging screenwriters and more experienced writers looking for professional-level feedback and development.
