About Kate
I am a professional recorder player with a BMus(Hons) First class degree from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, and recently completed an MMus in Performance at the same institution.
I have had 8 years of teaching experience in varied settings, including 10 private pupils, group lessons, and coaching for the National Youth Recorder Orchestra and Birmingham Schools Recorder Sinfonia.

I give lessons to all ages and abilities, and welcome enthusiastic students who want to pass exams or just learn for fun. I am Classically trained with an emphasis on historical performance but try to include a wide range of styles and repertoire in my lessons, although lessons are tailored to the individual's own interests.
