About Scott
Teaching Piano allows me to share my passion for music while helping college students develop valuable skills. With over 4 years of teaching experience, I create lessons that are personalized, motivating, and focused on practical improvement.
My teaching philosophy is based on understanding each student's learning style. I explain concepts in simple English, demonstrate techniques clearly, and encourage students to practice confidently at their own pace.
I use innovative teaching methods such as digital learning tools, rhythm training, ear development, keyboard drills, and creative music activities. These methods help students stay motivated while improving both technical and creative abilities.
Students improve note reading, scales, chords, finger coordination, posture, rhythm, and musical expression. I provide regular encouragement, progress reviews, and customized practice strategies that help students succeed.

I believe real-life examples make learning easier. I explain rhythm through everyday activities and use familiar songs to teach scales, chords, and musical expression. Practical case studies also help students understand how musicians prepare for performances and solve musical challenges.
Understanding comes before speed. I make sure students clearly understand every concept before introducing new lessons. They learn proper technique, reading music, rhythm, expression, and performance skills with confidence.
Communication is an important part of my teaching style. I explain lessons in simple English, demonstrate every technique, answer questions patiently, and provide regular feedback. Students always know what to practice and how to improve.
Integrity is one of the values I follow in every class. I believe in honesty, consistency, and respect. I motivate students to practice regularly and appreciate every step of their progress.
Along with piano, I also teach keyboard, music theory, ear training, sight reading, improvisation, chord progressions, rhythm practice, and beginner composition. My objective is to develop confident musicians who enjoy music throughout their lives.
