About Vashu

I am a concert pianist and piano educator with 17 years of musical training, currently preparing for the LTCL Performance Diploma.

I teach children and adults from complete beginners to advanced pianists, with lessons tailored to each student's level and goals.

My training includes masterclasses with internationally recognised pianists such as Leonel Morales, Leo de María, Ji-Hye Jung, Marouan Benabdallah, Douglas Finch, Daniele Buccio and Karl Lutchmayer.

I was selected with a full scholarship for the Mozarteum University Salzburg International Summer Academy in 2024 and 2025, and won Second Prize and Special Mention at the Princess Lalla Meryem International Piano Competition in 2025.

I have also performed internationally, including at Candlelight Concerts, the Echo Summer Academy in Budapest, and for the United Nations Holocaust Remembrance and Education programme.

About the lesson

My lessons focus on developing real musical ability, not simply teaching students to memorise pieces.

Depending on your level and goals, we can work on:

Piano technique — scales, arpeggios, coordination, articulation and tone
Classical repertoire — technique, phrasing, interpretation and musical expression
ABRSM & Trinity — repertoire, scales, sight-reading, aural and exam preparation
Musicianship — sight-reading, rhythm, ear training and musical understanding
Performance — memory, confidence, concentration and stage preparation
Competitions & auditions — repertoire selection, interpretation and intensive preparation

Beginners are very welcome. No previous experience is required.

My aim is to help every student become a confident, musical and independent pianist, whether they are learning for enjoyment, preparing for an examination, or pursuing serious performance.

Vashu sir is one of the best young pianists in India, as of now. With a number of prizes to his name, be it national or international competitions, he stays grounded and humble.
He understands the students very well and customizes the lesson plans based on their strengths and weaknesses.
Vashu sir does not promise immediate results, but if one follows his method of practice diligently, then I'm sure that person would see major improvement in a couple of months. His sound knowledge of music theory is an added advantage because he breaks down each composition and explains exactly why the composition sounds that way.
He is jolly and very approachable also. I have had a great experience with Vashu sir so far and I'm very grateful to have an instructor like him.
