About Lou
With 11 years of experience teaching piano, I have worked with students from diverse backgrounds, including young beginners, college learners, and working professionals. My teaching philosophy emphasises patience, encouragement, and personalised guidance, ensuring that each student feels supported and motivated to reach their full potential.
I have helped students perform in recitals, complete graded exams, and participate in competitions, achieving recognition and personal milestones. Lessons cover technique, sight-reading, music theory, improvisation, and expressive performance, all adapted to the student’s level, learning style, and interests. I aim to make piano learning meaningful, inspiring, and enjoyable for every student.

I encourage students to express themselves and share their progress, maintaining an open dialogue that builds trust and motivation. Supportive guidance is key—I work patiently through challenges and celebrate achievements to build confidence.
Beyond piano, I also teach music theory, improvisation, and other related subjects with the same empathetic approach. My goal is to make learning enjoyable, meaningful, and empowering, so every student not only masters skills but also develops a genuine love for music and learning.
