About Maria Lucia
Hello! My name is Malu, and I am a professional pianist with a passion for teaching piano. With over 15 years of experience, I have guided students of all ages and levels to discover their musical potential and achieve their goals.
I hold an advanced piano degree as well as two specialised master’s degrees — one in Solo Performance and the other in Music Pedagogy — and I have had the opportunity to study and perform in Europe, South America, and the United States.
These experiences have enriched my perspective and allowed me to develop a teaching approach that is both rigorous and supportive. My method is based on listening and adapting to each student. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced pianist, my lessons are fully personalized to meet your needs.
Together, we will work on essential aspects such as:
- Developing your technique and comfort at the piano.
- Understanding music theory to better interpret pieces.
- Interpretation, bringing life and expression to every note you play.
I firmly believe that anyone can progress at the piano with proper guidance and genuine motivation.
My role is to guide, motivate, and ensure that each lesson brings you closer to your goals.
Most importantly, I make sure that learning remains enjoyable at every step. I also offer lessons in English or Spanish for those who prefer to learn in another language.

I am here to help you achieve your dream of playing the piano. Teaching piano is much more than a profession for me — it is a true passion.
For over 15 years, I have had the privilege of guiding students of all ages and levels, from complete beginners to advanced pianists. My goal is to help you unlock your full musical potential, no matter where you are starting from.
I am convinced that musical initiation is a crucial step, because this is where passion and the desire to go further are born. This is why I offer a dynamic, interactive, and personalised approach to teaching, ensuring that every lesson is both enjoyable and enriching. If you already have some experience with the piano, my lessons are also designed for you.
Together, we can refine your technique, expand your repertoire, and enhance your interpretation — whether in classical, contemporary, or other styles.
What does a lesson with me look like?
a) Technique – Clear explanations and exercises to improve accuracy, posture, and dexterity.
b) Sight-reading – Learn to read sheet music with ease and confidence. c) Music theory – Build a solid foundation to understand and interpret music.
d) Interpretation – Develop expressive playing and bring out the emotion behind every piece.
