About Melissa

Melissa began her dance training at the age of 4 and has been performing professionally for over 12 years. She studied jazz, tap, ballet and contemporary in her early years and eventually took on styles such as urban hip hop, commercial jazz, musical theater jazz, Brazilian samba and pole dancing.

She was given the opportunity to teach dancing where she learned of her passion for choreographing and connecting with people through music and movement. Melissa's goal is to inspire her students and she dedicates herself to creating a nurturing environment where her students can develop their skills, share their talent, learn and grow confidently in themselves.

Melissa found herself advancing in the professional industry performing in music videos, television networks, corporate events, festivals and completing full time studies in dance and performing arts. She has performed for many events interstate as well as overseas, appointed dance captain in numerous dance companies and offered contracts to perform in resorts and cruise ships around the world.

Melissa's career has lead her to opening Jade Entertainment Company, bringing to life her vision to share her love for her craft, bringing people together and producing beautiful elaborate shows to create unforgettable moments of joy and laughter through her passion for providing quality entertainment.

About the lesson

Melissa's teaching style is about providing a healthy, safe and motivating environment for her students. She has completed Cert IV in Dance at Patrick Studios Australia which involved 2 years full time intensive training of 8 hours/5 days a week. Melissa's performance and teaching experience has helped her gain a wide range of knowledge in the professional dance industry. She enjoys sharing her experience and expertise with her students in dedicating herself to the artform.
