About Abdelhay
I am a Bristol-based composer and oud player with extensive professional experience in performance, composition and music for film and television. The oud has been central to my musical journey and creative work. I want to share its distinctive voice, its rich maqam tradition and the knowledge I have developed through years of practice. I teach with patience and sensitivity, creating a welcoming space where every student can learn with confidence and discover their own musical expression.

Explore the oud through technique, maqam and musical expression with composer and oud player Abdelhay El Haddad.
