About Satyam
Satyam Deb Roy is a professional musician, currently based in Kolkata. He is mostly known for his soulful sweet voice and impeccable mastery over semi classical, folk, bollywood & fusion music. Amongst regional genres, his voice has been truly appreciated for Ranbindrasangeet, bengali folk & contemporary music. His individual tracks has been used for various bengali short films (Otolantik, Amader Kotha, Mukti to name few). He has worked in collaboration with several platforms like 'Rooftop Sessions' apart from individual releases from his own youtube channel.
Born and brought up in Hooghly, West Bengal, Satyam started his early training in classical music & Nazrul Geeti at the tender edge of five. 10 year onwards he had extensive "taalim" In hindustani classical music (Kotali Gharana) from Pandit Manas Chakraborty. Then he started taken his taalim from Dr. Maahirii Bose.
Music is an ever learning experience for him, a pure form of knowledge and worship to Satyam, which he is passing on to his students.

You will be introduced with the basic skills of Hindustani Classical Music. Voice training also comes under the process. Learn how to make your own paltas. Lessons on Gayaki, Gamakas and variations of different combinations of jumping notes. Along with these basics you will learn some interesting semi Classical songs, Rabindra sangeet, Bhajans, Folk as well as some sufi numbers primarily focusing on your strength.

One of the best teachers I have ever seen. Satyam is warm and wonderful to his little students and is really a great teacher. He is amazing with kids and really fosters a healthy environment for teaching. My four year old just loves him ️
Satyam was my daughter's first music 'Guru'. He makes sure that the sur, taal etc are perfect at that stage before proceeding further. Also he was very patient and never scolded my daughter for not being able to do what was expected of her. She has learnt a lot from him. Her base is quite strong. This is what her music teacher in school told me. So i am really thankful for that.
