About Tim

Since completing my law degree three years ago, I have been focused on music production and teaching guitar whilst supplementing my income by working in the hospitality industry.

I have played guitar for 13 years and taught for 6 years. I have produced music for 8 years. It is my passion to compose, produce and teach music! I first began recording in A level Music Technology where I used a variety of hardware and a mixer desk.

My customer service and guitar tuition experience has taught me effective communication skills and the ability to quickly build rapport with people.

My other hobbies and interest include personal fitness and developing my social media brand Ted Fish.

About the lesson

Me and the student will reflect on what we've done at the end of the lesson, and set goals for the next lesson. I will send the student useful materials, resources and music to provide direction. I also create accountability for the student with frequent catch ups.

During the lesson, it's important for me to watch, make observations and provide feedback and improvements. I assess the progress of the student and choose reasonable challenges for them. With beginners, initially I would lead the student into particular playing styles to cover the basics and manage expectations.
