About Izabela

I am Bosham based bassoonist, graduated in June 2016 from Royal College of Music. I would like to share my passion and experience by teaching.
My main profession is bassoon / mini bassoon, but I am able to teach recorder and piano.
In June 2016 I graduated from Royal College of Music, where I was doing Artist Diploma (Postgraduate Diploma). Before, I have done my Master Degree at Academy of Music in Poznan, Poland.
In 2018 I was part of Southbank Sinfonia fellowship program based in London. My professional performance experience includes trialing and performing with orchestras such as Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, BBC Philharmonic, BBC Symphony Orchestra, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Britten Sinfonia and Philharmonia Orchestra.
I live in Bosham (West Sussex area) and I am happy to travel to your place. If you live in Chichester, Fishbourne, Bosham, Nutbourne, Southbourne, Emsworth or even Havant it shouldn't be a problem for me to travel.
I currently teach at Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School and Music Education Islington plus private teaching.

I've been teaching private students aged 6-18 and also adult students.

- Where and with whom did you train?

During my studies at Royal College of Music I studied with Andrea de Flammineis (Orchestra of the Royal Opera House), Sarah Burnett (Britten Sinfonia) and Martin Gatt.
My MA professor at Academy of Music in Poznan, Poland was Arek Adamczyk.

About the lesson

I believe in individual approach to each and every student. My experience covers teaching ages 6-18 but also adult students. I also help with preparations for ABRSM grade exams. During our lessons we will focus on technical aspects and also on musicality, which means covering scales and studies as well as pieces in line with ABRSM syllabus.

Izabela has been teaching me to play the bassoon for a few years. This is my first instrument (adult learner) and I am working towards grade 4. She is professional, patient and encouraging. This makes the lessons both enjoyable and productive. I highly recommend her as a tutor.
