About Alexander
I am a professional performing musician with several years of teaching experience working with students aged 4 and older. I currently work with primary aged children in a school based setting so I am an excellent communicator, especially with young children. I am always friendly and I commit enthusiastically to all of my students.
Whether you're looking to supplement your child's curriculum learning outside of school or an adult learner picking up an instrument for the first time, I tailor all lessons to suit your needs and aspirations.
I have an adaptable teaching style, developing my own resources for all ages and abilities. I source and prepare appropriate learning materials, keeping up to date with changes in curriculum. I have a 100% pass rate of entering students for graded music exams, and I am familiar with mainstream exam boards including ABRSM, Trinity and Rockschool.
I have a good understanding of the variation in pace and material required for different ages and abilities. This allows me to maximize efficiency of learning and inspire a continuation of a student’s studies. I keep intricate records of progress where appropriate and communicate regularly with parents/carers of young learners.
