About Liviu
I am a professional musician and guitarist, being in my final year of studies at the highly reputed Institute of Contemporary Music Performance. At this prestigious school I also focus on obtaining a Teaching Certificate and the Rockschool Licentiate, besides acquiring the highest level of musicianship possible from the UK's finest players.
These two qualifications describe the proficiency and devotion not only in sharing my knowledge, but also in my ability to deliver the right information, at the right pace for both individual students and groups! That includes having customised lessons and materials according to the needs of every student.
So, no matter how simple or advanced your goals are, I am comfortable to teach students of al ages, from complete beginners to advanced players (Grades 1-8).
In order to be specific, I can teach you guitar technique representative for Rock, Blues, Funk, Soul, Reggae, Fusion, Country etc. Besides the motor skills, I concentrate on music vocabulary, musical phrases, chord progressions and, ultimately, actual songs for these styles of music.
I can also teach you harmony & theory, ear training, transcribing, reading and writing music, improvisation, fretboard knowledge (including CAGED System), sight reading, home recording and producing (Logic Pro) and music notation software (Sibelius).
In a nutshell, what makes my teaching stand out is the delivering of high quality and customised lessons for every student in a relaxed and enjoyable environment.
