About Jonathan
I’ve worked as a professional motion designer and visual effects artist for the past 15 years on projects ranging from television shows and commercials to social content, live tour visuals, event graphics packages, outdoor media and more.
Recently I have been the head of VFX on the last two series of the hit CBBC show Andy and the Band, which required motion design, green screen keying, advanced compositing and visual effects including particle simulations and more.
I enjoy teaching real world techniques to junior and middle weight designers that cut through the noise and deliver results. More recently I’ve been teaching my two daughters how to bring their ideas to life too.

My 60 minute lessons are tailored to teach you what you need to know, whether you are a complete novice or have dabbled in After Effects before and are looking to advance your skills.
As a professional working motion designer I have 15 years of experience bringing projects to life and have often had to impart techniques to junior designers on real-world projects.
Catering for students from 16 years old and above, I like to understand what you hope to achieve in any given lesson and approach your requirements individually. This could be as simple as animating an on screen title, to the finer disciplines of green screen keying and advanced compositing techniques.
Similarly, if you have a project you are working on and are stuck on how to achieve a specific effect I can teach you the methods required to get the result you are looking for.
