About Anoush
I started with the classical guitar when I was eight years old and then when I was thirteen I switched to the flamenco guitar. I then went to study at the prestigious Cristina Heeren Foundation in Seville where I learnt from flamenco maestros such as Eduardo Rebollar, Pedro Sierra, Niño de Pura or Paco Cortés among others. I was a very motivated student and so I soon found myself working quite a lot mainly accompanying singers in different cities all over Spain. I have performed in venues such as the Picasso Museum in Málaga, Lope de Vega Theate in Seville or the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam among other places. Currently I work as a guitarist in Rotterdam accompanying dance classes, giving lessons and performing both as a soloist and with my own group which is a blend of flamenco with jazz.

I have always enjoyed receiving guitar lessons from my flamenco maestros and always strive to replicate their methods when I teach. I taught my first student when I was fifteen years old and loved it from the beginning.
I have taught people of all levels from beginners to more advanced students. When I get a student who is starting out, (either in flamenco or in guitar in general) I like to first extract from them what he/she wants to gain from the lessons. From there I take a personalized approach regarding a program of work which we will carry out at the leisure of the student in question.
Material we can work on includes:
- basic theoretical concepts (using the guitar) which we can then apply in our playing
- all essential flamenco techniques thereby allowing us to become the most complete guitarist possible
- knowledge of the fret board regarding scales, arpegios, chords with their respective inversions
-flamenco forms of all kinds ranging from the fundamental, soleares to the more festive bulería
