About Nina
I’m a guitar tutor with over 3 years of experience and a Bachelor of Science in Audio Engineering, guitar focus. I love guiding students through jazz and blues improvisation while helping them develop their own sound.
My teaching style is supportive, engaging, and goal-oriented, suitable for beginners, hobbyists, and professional musicians. I focus on modal scales, arpeggios, dominant seventh theory, and bebop phrasing to cultivate improvisational skills.
I’ve helped students from intermediate to advanced levels, including those preparing for professional gigs. Lessons balance technique, theory, and spontaneous creativity. Students gain confidence and expressive ability.
We explore phrasing, melodic development, and creating a personal improvisational voice. My goal is to help students tell stories through their guitar playing.

My teaching approach helps guitarists become fluent music readers. I focus on both tablature and standard notation, making sight-reading and rhythm notation practical and approachable. Lessons progress systematically, building skills gradually.
Students practice reading passages, sight-reading exercises, and rhythmic patterns to gain fluency in multiple musical styles. I emphasize accuracy, timing, and interpretation to boost confidence and independence.
I work with Classical Purists and Jazz Explorers alike, guiding them through written music efficiently. Lessons combine theory, technique, and reading practice to strengthen overall musicianship.
Students learn to translate written music to the guitar, developing speed, comprehension, and expressive playing. Exercises are tailored to goals from classical repertoire to improvisational jazz charts.
The aim is to make reading music intuitive and rewarding. Together, we’ll explore written music and build strong, versatile musicianship.
