About the lesson

I love the art of teaching and have taught many people of different age. I taught 3D and 2D video game art at Madison Media Institute for 5 years so I have a good deal of professional experience in the postsecondary field.

Tutoring is even more of a special experience since you get to do one-on-one learning instead of managing a full classroom. You get to make a stronger difference in one person's life that they will hopefully advance and grow from.

I have 23 years of professional experience in the field of 2D and 3D computer art, having worked on various video games and other projects. 2D programs that I utilize include Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and After Effects. 3D programs include 3D Studio Max, Zbrush, Unreal Editor, and Unity.

Other than 3d art, illustration is my main focus and I'm skilled in oil painting, pen and ink drawing, graphite, airbrush, and charcoal drawing. In addition to traditional methods. I also have written and recorded music since I was a teenager and have experience recording and mixing with Logic and Reaper.

I've used Maya and 3ds Max for many years and have written classes based on both programs that were used in the GAM program at MMI. Classes focused mainly on modeling, texture work and rendering, and I have experience with animation as well.

I will dedicate my time with you to ensure that you leave with a better understanding of the subject, no matter what! I never liked "passive" teaching and tutoring and want to make sure that you get that "light bulb over the head" feeling.
