About Kendrick

With 20 years of experience in teaching Guitar, I have worked with students from school level to college and even working professionals. I understand that each age group has different learning needs, and I adapt my teaching style accordingly.

My teaching philosophy is based on patience, clarity, and practical learning. I believe guitar should be learnt step by step. I start with basic chords, strumming patterns, and finger strength exercises. Slowly, I introduce songs, scales, and music theory. I make sure students understand what they are playing, not just memorise it.

Throughout my career, I have helped many students perform confidently on stage. Several of my students have won prizes in competitions and participated in cultural festivals. Some working professionals who joined as beginners are now confidently playing their favourite songs at events and gatherings.

I create a positive and encouraging environment in my class. I believe mistakes are part of learning. I motivate students to practise daily and set small goals to achieve steady progress.

For me, teaching guitar is about more than music. It is about building confidence, focus, and creativity. I feel proud to see my students improve week by week. My aim is to make learning guitar enjoyable, meaningful, and rewarding for every student.

About the lesson

My Guitar teaching methodology balances theory and practical learning. I use Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity as the foundation of my classes.

Students first learn the basics of chords, rhythm, and finger exercises. Along with playing, I teach simple music theory such as scales, chord formation, and song structure. This helps students understand what they play.

Motivation encourages students to stay patient and consistent. I support them through challenges and appreciate their effort.

Communication is simple and friendly. I demonstrate techniques clearly and provide step-by-step guidance.

Integrity ensures I focus on proper posture, hand position, clean sound, and rhythm control. Strong basics help students grow faster.

Creativity is encouraged through improvisation, chord progression practice, and playing different genres. I also teach related subjects like rhythm training, ear training, and performance confidence.

My goal is to help students become knowledgeable and expressive Guitar players.
