About Anisha
A trained Bharatanatyam dancer, I performed an Arangetram at age 14. This classical experience buttressed my love of Bollywood dance, inspiring me to choreograph and perform in solo, duet, and group dances from a young age. I performed professionally with Nritya Creations Performing Company at venues including concerts, business conventions, and private events.
My dance portfolio also includes 10 years of classical training at the New Jersey School of Ballet in ballet, pointe, and jazz. The IB dance program at my high school expanded my repertoire with classes and performances in contemporary, modern, hip-hop, as well as other ethnic forms. I refined my leadership and teaching skills as President of my university's hip-hop group.
I look forward to putting this extensive experience at your disposal. An art form shared is an art form cherished.

Having taught various forms of dance for over 15 years, I create an inclusive, innovative, and lively environment for students of all ages and experience. Join me in learning about the vibrant and emotive art of Indian dance.
Students new to the form will learn the basics, including footwork, hand gestures, and storytelling. Experienced students will benefit from creative choreography and an emphasis on technique.
Given my diverse dance background, I teach traditional, contemporary, and fusion Indian dance. My goal is to provide each student with personalized attention and support, helping them to reach their full potential and develop a lifelong love of dance.
