About Fernanda

I am a professional dancer of classical dance and I have also trained in contemporary dance and jazz. I have a degree in classical dance and have taken several methodology workshops, mainly on Cuban technique. I have about 10 years of experience teaching children and adults.

About the lesson

Ballet classes are structured according to the level and age of the person taking them. The methodology that I teach is the Cuban methodology, which is divided into elementary level and intermediate level. The duration of the class is an hour and a half, divided into exercises for the bar, center and allegro. For a very basic level (children) the classes last one hour and musicality and coordination exercises are carried out accompanied by some steps of the program in the simplest way. I usually have a lot of experience teaching children and teenagers, however I also work with adults. Regarding the floor barre classes, these are classes open to people with knowledge of dance or not, since this technique allows to exercise, tone and strengthen all the muscles of the body. The best thing about this practice is that it requires nothing more than a small space on the floor, and when working from the floor it keeps practically the whole body working and without the impact of standing. I also teach contemporary dance, combining the graham and flying low techniques, working both contractions and spiral movements. Improvisation is also a fundamental part for the student to discover his body and how it relates to his space and to other bodies, so that through this technique a more fluid and therefore more genuine movement can be achieved. of the student, helping him to discover himself beyond the technique.
