With my 5 years of tutoring experience, both online and offline, I have a great deal of experience in what works and doesn't work, and a variety of techniques for guided and self learning to ensure my students get the best learning experience that works for them, and allows them to take agency and control of their own learning.

As a professional composer and songwriter I am experienced witha variety of Musical styles and composition techniques, as well as being fully armed with a suite of musical theory knowledge. From my 5 years of teaching and tutoring I have found and adaptable an personal approach to teaching yields the best response and success for students.I combine this with a clear explanation of why we are doing the things we are doing and how we are doing them, to give the student the tools and agency to take their learning home with them. My lessons are typically 1 hour long, and aimed at GCSE and A-Level students, but other durations are available. I have a degree in Maths and Music from University of Glasgow, and as part of this degree I was teaching secondary school students in classroom and small group settings, equipping me with a knowledge of pitfalls of this type of education that can be avoided and addressed in my private sessions.
