About Imani
As a teacher with multiple Dance/Fitness certifications, I am used to being held at a standard for my abilities and work ethic.
As a person, I’m supportive and focused, but I know how to not take things to seriously. I like to get things done and enjoy the journey long the way.
I strive to be kind, firm, and flexible with all my students. Being a guide and helping people towards their wants and needs is what makes teaching fun for me, so I’m looking forward to meeting the students who will allow me to do so on an individual level.

Currently signed with MSA Agency NY as a Professional Dancer.
Trained with Alvin Ailey, UNCSA and Joffrey Ballet School, Broadway Dance Center and Brickhouse NYC.
Previously a competitive dancer of 8+ years
4+ years of experience teaching dance to all levels ages 5-18
Zumba Fitness Certified.
With my broad range of experiences, I will adapt to YOU. If you want to be challenged, I will challenge you, if you want to have fun, we’ll have fun, if you want to do both.. even better!
Students will start by selecting their specific area of interest (combined pathways are available). here are some examples of pathways I provide:
- Hip Hop
- Contemporary
- Jazz Technique
- Improvisation and Freestyle
- Beginner Flexibility and Body Awareness
- Zumba ( for adults looking to get active)
Then, we will establish together your goal(s)/focus that we will follow on this pathway.
Goals/ Focus Examples:
- Young competitive (beg-advanced) dancers looking for additional training.
- Beginners of all ages (minimum 5 years old) looking for fun dance combos and introductory training.
- Persons with a casual interest in dance looking for a fun creative outlet.
- Adults looking for a dance/ flexibility focused workout.
Keeping that in mind, I will create a lesson plan based off of your needs wants.
Whether you are looking for something casual or a weekly commitment, I got you!
