About Abbie

I am classically-trained though I have branched out and now perform music from all genres including R&B, Pop, Jazz and Soul. I sing too as well as play the piano (so I’m always able to accompany my students!)
I do perform regularly as well and have recently performed alongside amazing artists, including Alicia Keys, Corinne Bailey Rae, Laura Mvula & Ciinderella Balthazar! I’m a co-founder of the Zukira Duo (a cello and guitar duo). We perform regularly at a range of events playing music from a range of genres (including Afrobeats, Soul, R&B and Pop).

About the lesson

My goal as a teacher is to create all-rounded musicians, who have a good ear, can play music from different genres, and love what they are doing!
I am Suzuki and Kodály trained so my lessons include aspects of these two incredible teaching methods.
My lessons will include technique, in order to play the instrument well and create a beautiful sound, as well as playing music that you love!
I am very flexible and want my students to make choices in their musical journey.
