About Brody
I am a dedicated basketball player with experience competing in the NZNBL and captaining the New Zealand Under 17 national team. I have trained and played with New Zealand Tall Blacks, NZ Breakers and players from professional leagues all over the world. Through my time with the Franklin Bulls and training in high-level environments, I’ve developed a deep understanding of high-performance basketball and what it takes to reach the next level.
Off the court I am studying to become a teacher, studying at the University of Waikato. I also play in the University Basketball team and this year won the 2025 Player's Award. I work as a coach for Franklin Basketball Association and have coached basketball for 8 years at both club and representative level. I have helped coach basketball at Pukekohe High School for multiple years now and starting this year I will be the head coach at TIPENE.
My passion is helping young people grow on and off the court. I bring professionalism, and a clear structure to every session, ensuring players feel supported and challenged to improve.

As a current NZNBL player and former Junior Tall Blacks Captain, I bring professional-level basketball experience to every session. My coaching focuses on building strong fundamentals while developing skills, confidence, and a deeper understanding of the game.
Sessions are tailored to the player’s goals — whether that’s improving shooting, ball handling or overall game IQ. I use a combination of drills, game situations, and feedback to create an engaging learning environment.
Sessions run for around 60 minutes and are suitable for players of all ages and skill levels — from beginners looking to grow their game, to representative athletes aiming to compete at a higher level.
My goal is to help every athlete become the best player they can be.
