About Georgie

I currently work as an Academic Tutor at a Secondary School & Sixth Form within North London, which gifts me experience working with a wide range of children across a multitude of disciplines. In addition to this I have over four years private tutoring experience. All of the students that I have worked with have seen marked improvements within comprehension, confidence and assessment. I like to lead with knowledge and skills based learning and translate that into an assessment focused mindset, rather than the other way round.

About the lesson

I am a professional Academic Tutor working at a Secondary School & Sixth-Form within North London, offering tuition to pupils from Key Stage 3 to A-Level. I hold a BA Honours degree from King's College in Classical Studies & English Literature and I specialise in teaching English Literature, English Language, History, Philosophy & Ethics and Classical Studies, all of which I have extensive experience in. Using my knowledge and passion for the subject, alongside an extensive range of further resources, I strive to engage and stimulate my pupils. I attempt to make personalised lesson plans assessing and playing to the individual strengths of the student's style of learning, always striving to create a warm, friendly and positive environment. I believe the best approach to both tutoring and learning alike is to find the area of the subject that inspires interest for the student and start there, using a patient and dedicated approach to reach the individual's goals.
