About Julie
Who I am:
I am a classically trained voice instructor, and have been singing my entire life. I studied at the University of Texas at Arlington, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Music, Vocal Performance in 2014. I have years of performance experience in various settings, such as solo recitals, musical theater, and both large and small voice ensembles. Additionally, I have worked with a wide variety of students from beginner levels to advanced, and I'm prepared to help you meet your singing goals too!

Teaching Style:
My teaching style places an emphasis on vocal health through development of good breath support and teaching healthy singing habits, as well as helping my students cultivate and refine stylistic elements to each song we work on. I also believe that developing confidence is a huge part of becoming a great singer and performer, so I strive to create an encouraging atmosphere where my students feel comfortable exploring and finding their true and unique voice.

What a lesson looks like:
I begin all my lessons with breath-support exercises and vocal warm ups, then move to a song chosen by the student to perfect their skills, as well as vocal artistry, and interpretation.
