About Ana
I'm a production designer, project manager, draftsperson, and educator based in Los Angeles, originally from former Yugoslavia. My professional work spans film, television, fabrication, live performance, and experiential. I completed my undergraduate training in Scenography at the prestigious Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, and I earned my MFA in Production Design from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. I currently teach undergraduate Production Design at NYU’s Maurice Kanbar Institute, and am a member of both IATSE Local 829 and the Irish Society of Stage and Screen Designers.

Hi everyone! I'm an active member of IATSE Local 829 and a former Production Design professor at NYU Tisch, now offering private, highly focused lessons in scenic design for stage and screen.
While I cover a wide range of topics, I place a strong emphasis on drafting (technical drawing)—a foundational skill for anyone looking to strengthen their portfolio, gain a deeper understanding of the fabrication pipeline, and improve their chances of admission to top design and film schools in the U.S., or to prepare for union membership as a drafter or production designer.
With over a decade of teaching experience, I've worked with students from both metric and imperial systems, guiding them through a mix of practical exercises and conceptual design challenges.
