About Tia

Bonjour! My name is Tia, and I am delighted to be your French teacher. Originally from Lebanon, I have been speaking French since I could remember. Growing up in Lebanon, French was not just a language, but a vital part of daily life. The Lebanese dialect is often blended with French, and I was fortunate enough to attend a private French school where most subjects were taught in French. This deep connection to the language has shaped both my personal and professional life. Since moving to England, I’ve faced the challenge of maintaining my fluency in French, but my love for the language remains as strong as ever. I am committed to keeping this beautiful, classical language alive and to sharing it with my students in an engaging and dynamic way. I am currently pursuing a degree in Psychosocial and Psychoanalytic Studies, building on my academic foundation from my time studying hospitality and catering. In addition to my formal studies, I’ve gained valuable experience working in various roles, including volunteering at local cafés and engaging with children through educational and extracurricular activities. My work experience has equipped me with strong communication, time management, and interpersonal skills, qualities I bring to my teaching approach. In my French lessons, I aim to create a positive, supportive, and interactive environment where each student can feel confident and encouraged to explore the French language. I believe that learning French opens doors to new cultural experiences, and I am excited to help my students on this journey. I look forward to sharing my passion for French with you and helping you improve your language skills!

About the lesson

My Teaching Approach: I believe that language learning is most effective when it’s immersive and enjoyable. My lessons focus on real-life communication, pronunciation, vocabulary building, and grammar through interactive activities such as storytelling, role-playing, games, and songs. I tailor each session to the student’s level, learning style, and interests to ensure they stay motivated and engaged. Lesson Structure Each lesson typically lasts 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the student’s age and needs. I use a mix of conversation practice, reading, writing, and listening exercises to create a well-rounded learning experience. Whether your child is a complete beginner or looking to improve their skills, I adapt my teaching to their pace and goals. My Experience & Background I have been speaking French my entire life, having studied in a private French school where all subjects were taught in French. This has given me a deep understanding of the language, both academically and practically. Additionally, I have experience working with children in various educational settings, allowing me to create a warm and supportive learning environment.
