About Prisha
Hi! I'm Prisha and I am a college freshman planning to major in Psychology. Growing up, I went to a competitive high school in the Bay Area and have gotten tutoring lessons regularly due to the rigor of my classes. I have been on both sides before, a tutor and a student, and I plan to use those experiences as a tutor. I know how daunting the college essay (and application) process is, however, I believe the mind-frame used and planning an approach can help change the feelings one may hold. I have read plenty of my peers essays and know what worked and what did not, and plan to use that knowledge while editing.

Something that helped me learn was using examples and finding patterns, so that is typically what I do while tutoring as well. My lesson plans usually include a presentation, a few worksheets, and no-stakes test at the end to see progress. My essay editing style is to brainstorm in together and edit/write independently. If extra support is needed in the actual writing process, I will definitely help with that as well! As a tutor I am patient and understanding and as an essay editor I am honest and straight-forward. I am also easy to work with and have flexible hours as well.
