About Deanna
I became a Primary Teacher because I love working with kids and being able to see that light in their eyes when they finally get something that they have been struggling with.
I myself needed tutoring in English and Maths growing up because of a learning disability I have. I like to show my students that if I can do it, they can too!
I have learned to adapt and overcome my struggles with learning and I strive to inspire and help others find ways to continue to learn and have fun doing it!

Having worked in a range of different classrooms, in two different countries, with a variety of students of all different ages and abilities, I have a unique perspective on education.
I am able to adapt my lessons as required for any grade level, having experience teaching the Scottish Curriculum in early, first, and second level, as well in the ASN sector.
I pride myself in being able to build a positive rapport with every student I teach. I am passionate and enthusiastic about delivering the best education possible to all students.
My lessons are delivered in such a way to keep my students engaged and interested. I like to take a special interest in whatever my students are interested in and try to use these in their lessons. This makes it much more fun to learn!
I take the time to create each lesson to fit the specific needs of the student.
