About Alice
I’m a passionate and experienced teacher with 13 years in the classroom, both in-person and online. During the lockdowns, I even taught my UK class remotely from New Zealand! At my previous school in England, every lesson was delivered 100% online, so I’m confident in creating engaging, effective learning experiences in a virtual setting. My favorite year groups to teach are Years 5 and 6—they get my sense of humor and thrive on feedback and challenge. I especially enjoy working one-on-one with students, whether they need extra support or are ready for extension. There’s nothing better than that “aha!” moment when a concept finally clicks. Whether we’re solidifying foundations or pushing into deeper thinking, I love finding the right approach to help every learner succeed.

I teach across all primary school subjects, with particular strengths in Literacy and Maths. Whether your child needs targeted support to build confidence or extra challenge to extend their thinking, I tailor each session to meet their individual needs and learning style.
I specialise in working with students in Years 5–7, though I’m equally comfortable supporting learners from Year 3 to Year 8. I begin with an introductory session where we identify key strengths, areas for development, and goals—this ensures every lesson is purposeful and focused.
Lessons typically run for 45 minutes to an hour—long enough to dig deep without overwhelming. A typical session includes a brief warm-up to activate prior knowledge, explicit teaching of the concept or skill, followed by guided practice and reflection. I keep sessions interactive and supportive, always adjusting my approach based on how the student is responding.
My goal is to create a space where learners feel safe to take risks, ask questions, and experience those exciting ‘lightbulb’ moments when understanding clicks into place.
