About Ethan
Teaching Saxophone has been a rewarding journey for me over the past 9 years. During this time, I have taught around 150 students from beginners to advanced learners. I believe that music education should be inspiring, structured, and enjoyable.
My tutoring method starts with understanding the student’s goals. Whether they want to play for fun, prepare for exams, or perform on stage, I design lessons accordingly. I focus on technical skills such as tone production, articulation, scales, rhythm training, and breath control. Along with this, I include music theory and ear training to strengthen overall musicianship.
I strongly believe in positive communication and encouragement. I create a friendly environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them. I use real-world musical examples and practice routines that improve consistency and discipline.
My unique skill lies in balancing technical training with creativity. I guide students in improvisation, expression, and stage presence. My goal is to help students not only play the saxophone well but also truly enjoy the learning process.

My teaching methodology for Saxophone is focused on creating independent and confident learners. I start by strengthening fundamentals such as breathing support, embouchure control, posture, finger movement, tone production, articulation, and rhythm accuracy. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s pace and learning style.
Creativity is developed by encouraging students to explore music freely, learn familiar melodies, and try basic improvisation. As a mentor, I provide consistent guidance, motivation, and support to help students stay focused and confident.
Critical thinking is developed by teaching students how to listen carefully, understand musical structure, and correct mistakes on their own. Accountability is maintained through structured practice schedules, clear expectations, and regular progress evaluations. Along with Saxophone, I also teach Music Theory, Rhythm Training, Ear Development, and Scale Studies.
