About Oli
I am an architectural designer with over six years of experience working across architecture, exhibitions, public space and creative installations in the UK and Europe.
I studied Architecture at the University of Cambridge before completing my MArch with Distinction at London Metropolitan University. Throughout my studies, I developed a strong interest in architectural representation, storytelling and the relationship between design ideas and how they are communicated.
Alongside professional practice, I am co-founder of badweather, an experimental architecture and scenography collective exploring reuse, fabrication and alternative approaches to making space. My work has included temporary installations, exhibitions and performance environments for cultural organisations and festivals.
I enjoy helping students develop confidence in their own ideas and discover ways to communicate their designs more clearly. Having experienced architectural education both as a student and educator, I understand the challenges of developing a portfolio, preparing applications and finding your own approach to design.

I offer tailored architecture and design lessons focused on portfolio development, university applications, design mentoring and technical skills. Lessons can include portfolio reviews, design critiques, architectural drawing and representation, project development, and software support in Rhino, Vectorworks, Archicad, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
My approach to tutoring is creative, practical, supportive and adapted to each student’s goals. I focus not only on improving technical ability, but also on helping students develop stronger design thinking, clearer communication and confidence in presenting their ideas. I use discussion, screen-sharing, live demonstrations, drawing reviews and constructive feedback to help students understand both the process and outcome of their work.
Lessons typically last 60-90 minutes, allowing time for discussion, practical exercises and detailed feedback.
I am a practising architectural designer currently working at JA-Projects, with over six years of professional experience across community spaces, cultural institutions, public realm and social housing. Alongside professional practice, I have supported and mentored architecture students through teaching, critiques and workshops, including as a teaching assistant at London Metropolitan University and through guest critiques, workshops and lectures at institutions including The Architectural Association, The Bartlett School of Architecture (UCL), The Royal College of Art, Glasgow School of Art and the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Munich.
My lessons are suitable for architecture and design students at a range of levels, from students preparing portfolios and university applications, to undergraduate students looking to strengthen their design projects, improve their presentation skills or develop confidence with industry-standard software.
